POEM: The Moonless Night

My new poem “The Moonless Night,” from the latest issue of LADYBUG, out now.

Blue Moon

When the moon is blue

here’s what you do:

grab some branches

grab some glue

and build the world’s tallest tickle stick

and tickle that moon

till it’s tickle-sick.

That does the trick!

A Banana

How can a

be glowing up dere

so golden

and bold in

da night?

Dere must be

a monkey

who lugged it up dere

who licked it

and sticked it

on tight.

From Monkey Shines, an unpublished collection of night-themed children's poetry.
